It’s a girl! It had always been a dream for Tasheen to have a baby and become a mother, but her hopes were dashed on her first try. Her doctor told her fibroids were to blame for her miscarriage. Tasheen didn’t give up her hope. She treated her fibroids non surgically, opting for the UFE procedure at the office of Dr. Neel Patel, founder of the Minimally Invasive Center of Atlanta. She had already had a Myomectomy, the surgical treatment to remove fibroids, but when the fibroids reared their ugly head once again, she knew UFE was her best hope.
Tasheen had her UFE a year ago and four months later she got pregnant. I remember the day she called me to say she was pregnant. She was elated and so grateful UFE at the hands of Dr. Patel would help make her lifelong dream of becoming a mother come true. I was so excited for Tasheen and couldn’t wait for the day she would call me back to say she had her baby.
A few weeks ago Tahseen made the call and proudly delivered the news she had her baby girl on December 21. She decided to name her baby Madison. “I’m overwhelmed with joy. I’m so happy, said Tasheen.” It took a while for Tasheen to realize her dream and at the age of 42, she is the proud mother of a baby girl. We are so happy for her. Congratulations Tasheen!
